NC-filmed Event Series SHOTS FIRED Releases First Look

Currently filming in Charlotte Region, show to air in Spring 2017

RALEIGH - FOX has released the first look at the currently North Carolina filming series Shots Fired.

The 10-hour event series, about how a small southern town responds when an African-American cop kills a white teenager and sets off a media storm, stars Sanna Latham (The Perfect Guy, Love and Basketball), Stephan James (Race, Selma), Helen Hunt (As Good As It Gets, Mad About You), Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws, Madoff) and Stephen Moyer (True Blood).

The series will air in the Spring of 2017.

Shots Fired was selected to receive a rebate of up to $9 million as part of the North Carolina Film and Entertainment Grant Fund. The series is expected to have a direct in-state spend in excess of $36 million and offer more than while filming in the Charlotte Region, including the counties of Mecklenburg, Iredell, Gaston and Rowan, among others. Principal photography on the series, which began in late March, is expected to continue until late July.
