THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM Gets Earlier Release Date of Sept 9

RALEIGH - The North Carolina filmed suspense/thriller feature The Disappointments Room has moved up its release date to September 9in select theaters and OnDemand--and has also released its theatrical trailer.
Starring Kate Beckinsale (Underworld, The Aviator), the feature film tells the story of how a mother and her young son release unimaginable horrors from their attic of their rural dream home. It is directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, I Am Number Four, Eagle Eye).
Filming of The Disappointments Room took place in the Piedmont Triad Region, with the Greensboro historical residence, Adamsleigh, serving has the key character in the story, the familys home. In addition to Adamsleigh, the production filmed in downtown Greensboro and Winston-Salem as well as in the towns of Madison and Ramseur. According to audits conducted by the NC Department of Revenue, the production had a direct in-state spend of more than $10.7 million while creating 411 job opportunities.
The Disappointments Room was one of more than 50 productions that filmed in North Carolina in 2014 who all combined had a direct spend in excess of $315 million while creating more than 19,000 job opportunities while filming in over 35 of the states counties.
